Fun Run Fundraiser

In October 2024, Park Road Elementary School will be holding its first annual Fun Run fundraiser. It's our intent to have this become our school's main fundraiser moving forward.

A Fun Run encourages participants to sign up to run/walk, collect pledges, and earn donations for each lap or minute. The Fun Run is a fitness-based fundraiser that teaches students about character with the goal of promoting both physical activity and community-building.

The 2024 PRE Fun Run would not be possible without our two Fun Run co-chairs, Kerry Mascia and Jenna Roote. The time and effort they have already put into this Fun Run is immense. Jenna's talent as a designer (Jenna Fava Design) is also on display on our Fun Run t-shirts (in addition to flyers, spirit wear, and other items across the district). We are sincerely grateful for her time, skill, and creativity.

If we are successful, we will explore making items like yearbooks and class field trip/field day t-shirts more cost effective for all students across all grades. We also hope to spend these funds on additional fun activities and field trips for the kids. We plan to use this money to support our teachers and staff as well. With a successful PRE community-supported Fun Run, our hope is to raise enough money to support our activities, our teachers and staff, and our families all year long.
